BELT LIPECTOMY

The most suitable patient group for belt lipectomy is those who do not smoke, maintains the body weight and have sags on the body after a serious weight losing process. If the weight losing method of patient is stomach tube, it should be remembered that the period before and after the surgery should be spent more carefully and rigorously considering that the natural nutrition process is out of order in those patients. Partial stitch opening and extended wound recovery period are frequently observed in those patients. In that period, nutrition and accordingly wound recovery process is attempted to be supported through external patient and vitamin supplements to the patient.
Patient stays at the hospital for 3 days after surgery. Patient can move and meet own needs at early period. Body-shaping corsets are recommended to be work for 3 weeks after surgery. Nutrition with a diet high in protein evidently speeds up the recovery period during recovery. The traces caused by the incisions encircle the waist like a belt and remain below the underclothes. An appearance which does not disturb the person is achieved with a good trace care.
